Having 20+ years of experience in the Telecom industry, working with several organizations like Tata Indicom, Nokia, Hutch, Motorola, and BPL Telecom, he ventured to start exploring the problems in Co-living & Student Housing.
When he dived deep into this industry, he realized how people struggle hard and face various problems and obstacles in finding suitable accommodation to stay. Students and working professionals who migrate to outstation places in search of better educational and job opportunities are the main victims. They struggle a lot in paying high brokerages and getting well-furnished houses equipped with the necessary facilities and amenities.
After doing a complete market analysis of the real estate industry, Mr. Nitin Agrawal found out that almost one-third of the urban people live in rental accommodations. This is because either they cannot afford to buy the house or they are staying away from their hometowns. Although, this is a huge $20 billion market but it still lacked an optimal solution for the increasing number of house-hunters. To provide a solution to this problem, Mr. Nitin Agrawal started lending out vacant spaces of his and his friend’s house to people who needed it the most such as students, families, or working professionals at affordable prices.
Gradually with time, he decided to pursue it as his profession and expand it on a bigger scale. So this way Roomsoom Technologies Pvt. Ltd. came into existence. He launched it with the support and contribution of his wife Mrs. Garima Agarwal– the co-founder of Roomsoom on 1st August 2016.
Currently, Roomsoom is operational in several cities such as Noida, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, and Indore and working on expanding its base digitally as well as geographically. With the help of a high-spirited team in the domains of technology, finance and accounts, Marketing, and Business Development and Sales, the company aims to rise as an important player in the housing industry.
Roomsoom believes in providing a Room for Everyone. They are providing fully-furnished Flats and PGs to their tenants for long and short stays. Within a few years, Roomsoom has helped more than 40,000 people to find a happy home for themselves. It has become a huge pain for the brokers who charge an exorbitant amount of money from tenants and dupe them unreasonably in providing them an accommodation. Roomsoom has helped several house owners and tenants get benefit by eliminating the need of brokers.
